The Sims 2, or the game that ate my life
So I got the Sims 2 for my birthday from my super-awesome husband. I played it all day Tuesday after work until Jon got home, and all day yesterday until I went to bed. Why is this game so fun? I don’t get it; all I do is follow this person around while they live their life and either help them fix their life for the better or screw them over. It’s mind-boggling, really. I’m not so sure about the marriage/family/kids thing though, because covering multiple characters starts to get complicated.
The “Sims Body Shop”, which lets you create Sims outside of the game for use in the game, is a whole lot fun too. I think I could probably spend hours just fiddling with the damn thing and creating pictures for half of my roleplay characters (some of the other half are guys with curly hair, which apparently the Sims doesn’t believe in). And I haven’t even gotten into the Homebuilding thing, or Neighborhood building (which seems more like the traditional SimCity-esque game), or designing clothing or objects or.. sheesh, the list goes on. What is it with this game?!
