I won’t grow up~
Work on the new design continues - slowly, because Jon’s dragged my interest back into WoW, but it continues nonetheless. It’s still got a lot of work left. It’s been interesting though; as always, theory and practice are very different things.
We watched Finding Neverland last night. It was incredible.
Johnny Depp has got to be the god of actors. Well, okay, maybe he’s not that good, but he’s really good. Anyway, it was a lovely story (and Johnny Depp with a.. Scottish? accent is sexy beyond words), though it didn’t really hit me emotionally until after it was over. I won’t spoil it for those of you who haven’t seen it, but what happened in the end was subtle enough (or I was oblivious enough) that I didn’t quite put together what was happening until a few minutes after it had happened. I should’ve, I guess.. but the movie had such a surreal sort of quality to parts of it that I was unsure if the scene was intended to be real or imagined or something else entirely.
Anyway, I’ve loved the play Peter Pan since my high school drama department did it for the spring musical (wires and all, oh yes), so Finding Neverland was an interesting look into the possible life of its creator. I especially enjoyed the emphasis on imagination as a beneficial quality, though there was the acknowledgement that it cannot supercede reality.
Kate Winslet was good, as well.. I didn’t think much of her when I first saw her (in Titanic, naturally), but recently, her roles in Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind and Finding Neverland have made me rethink my first impression.

I’ve really been wanting to see Finding Neverland since before it was even in theaters, but haven’t done it yet. It sounds like a really neat movie. I’m not sure why I haven’t seen Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind either. =\
So I guess I’m deprived too…
I’m glad to hear you liked it as much as I think I might.

It’s ok, I’m sure I’ll manage to see them on my own at some point… just have to get myself in a movie-watching mood some day (it doesn’t happen often enough unfortunately
